The faculty stepped out. Training continues.
We've made We Slay Monsters: Unsupervised, a free idle browser game set in the world of We Slay Monsters. It's a small, standalone side adventure: the recruits handle the fighting, and you decide how to spend their gold.
Play Unsupervised in your browser. No download or account required. Progress saves in this browser.
A little extracurricular monster management
Your first recruit, Hugo, starts with an assignment called Goat management. It was described as a petting zoo. The goat appears to have received a different briefing.
Three-card hands play automatically. You spend the gold on training, better loot, faster combat drills, and Tax lessons. Three matching suits make a flush for a stronger hit; supervision remains optional, but choosing your upgrades is your job.
Defeat three monsters to clear an assignment, then choose when to move on. You can stay and collect more gold before taking the next one. Complete all eight assignments to graduate your recruit and add them to the academy yearbook.
A school that learns something, eventually
Graduation isn't the end of the academy. Enroll another recruit, choose a Warrior, Wizard, or Rogue, and tackle a tougher course with the academy's accumulated bonuses. Gold and purchased lessons reset on enrollment; your yearbook and permanent academy progress stay.
Your recruit also earns gold while you're away, up to four hours. That doesn't complete assignments for you, so there will still be decisions waiting when you return. Progress is stored in the browser you're playing in, not an account.
Same world. Different amount of supervision.
Unsupervised is a small invitation into the world of We Slay Monsters, not a browser version of the full game. Here, the card hands play themselves. In the full game, you explore dungeons and make the calls in turn-based, poker-inspired card combat while rebuilding the Academy for Dungeoneering.
